Sr. Statutory Accountant (Part-Time)

As a Senior Statutory Accountant, reporting to the Director, Accounting, you will support the global compliance obligations of our multi-national, multi-product technology company. This 12-month contract role is truly unique in combining exposure to a rewarding variety of complex and technical matters while offering the work/life balance of a fully remote role and a 3-day-work-week. These obligations include sales and income tax in 8 countries, local financial statement audits, investor reporting, bank covenant reporting, FX hedging and Group Transfer Pricing. You will ensure that all tax and transfer pricing journal entries are posted and reconciled in a timely manner. You will build and optimize processes, existing systems and new AI initiatives and support the Group’s relationship with a network of external advisory & audit firms to ensure timely completion of all Group obligations. You will partner with the GL Accounting team to understand the detail of entities’ PL and Balance Sheet. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical abilities, ideally with experience in dealing with GAAP conversion, accounting systems (especially NetSuite), and a proactive approach to optimizing processes.
Responsibilities
Ensure timely delivery of all local statutory audit obligations, including US GAAP to local GAAP conversion and reconciliation of the Statutory set of books in Netsuite.
Ensure timely filing of all global income tax returns, including payment of any preliminary amounts due.
Support implementation and improved documentation of all Group Transfer Pricing policies, posting all associated journal entries in Netsuite and ensuring that service agreements, loan agreements and policy documents are up to date and accurate.
Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared for all tax and intercompany accounts.
Support a process of group rationalization by managing the liquidation of dormant Group entities.
Support required quarterly and annual investor reporting, including responses to investor audit confirmations.
Support all monthly, quarterly and annual bank covenant reporting as required in the Group’s credit agreement and prepare debt related journal entries in Netsuite.
Drive improvements in accounting processes, workflows, and internal controls to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., strategic finance, HR, compliance) to support strategic initiatives and financial planning efforts.
Stay up-to-date with changes in local accounting standards, tax law, and industry best practices to ensure the company remains compliant and competitive.
What You’ll Bring:
Required:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA) with a minimum 3+ years relevant PQE.
Expertise in financial systems (ideally NetSuite) and advanced Excel functions.
Preferred:
Qualified in the audit department of a large accounting firm.
Strong Academic Record.
Prior experience working in the Finance function of a multi-national technology company, especially operating a SAAS model.
