As a Backend Developer, you will shape the Iconik product ecosystem by building scalable infrastructure and robust APIs. You’ll join a global, cross-functional team, taking ownership of backend features while exploring cutting-edge AI capabilities.

Your mission includes:

• AI Innovation: Integrating tools like Rev.AI and Whisper for object recognition and transcription.

• Scalable Engineering: Designing and maintaining backend systems using Python and Go.

• API & Data: Building high-performance RESTful APIs and optimizing SQL/NoSQL databases.

• System Ownership: Participating in architecture decisions and ensuring high availability.

• Collaboration: Working with frontend and product teams, while mentoring junior engineers.

• Quality: Writing clean, testable code and participating in proactive code reviews.

• Efficiency: Leverage AI tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor or Gemini to accelerate implementation, as well as for debugging and documentation.

WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARK

We primarily use Python, Go, and modern cloud stacks. We value the ability to build reliable systems and a drive to solve complex problems. We believe the right person has:

• 5+ years of experience in backend development and system design.

• Proficiency in Python (FastAPI or Flask is a plus).

• Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and documentation (e.g., Swagger).

• Experience with Git/GitHub and Agile workflows.

• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Bonus points for:

• Experience with Go (Golang) or Apache Cassandra.

• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/K8s).

• Experience with AI/LLM tools (OpenCV, YOLO, or Rev.AI).

• A background in SaaS product development.
