  • Once we receive your application, our Talent Acquisition team will review it to assess your skills, experience, and fit for the role. If your profile matches our requirements, we will contact you to discuss next steps, which may include an initial screening call or interview. If your application is not selected to move forward, we will notify you by email.

  • If you’ve taken part in an interview with us, we’re happy to provide feedback. If your application didn’t progress to the interview stage, we’re unfortunately unable to offer individual feedback due to the high volume of applications we receive.

  • Our interview process typically includes an initial conversation with our TA team, followed by one or more interviews with the hiring manager and relevant team members. Depending on the role, you may also be asked to complete a coding test or case study. We aim to keep the process transparent, respectful of your time, and focused on helping both you and Backlight determine if we are the right fit for each other.

  • Yes, we do conduct criminal background checks for all hires, in compliance with applicable local laws, and only with the candidate’s consent. This step is part of our commitment to meeting the compliance and certification requirements we uphold.

  • We’re a diverse and global team. Our offices are in France (Valbonne) and Sweden (Stockholm), with larger remote groups in the US, Canada, Ireland, Australia, and the UK, and teammates in many other countries around the world. Everyone brings their experience and enthusiasm, making our team creative, curious, and collaborative.

  • Yes. Many of our roles are remote-friendly, and we have team members working from various locations around the world. If a position is office-first — for example, certain roles in our France or Sweden offices, this will be stated in the job ad. We value flexibility and aim to hire the best talent while supporting effective collaboration.
